Draper Remodel

We took a typical suburban house and transformed it onto a home with clean lines and more intentional architectural detailing. We embraced the stucco exterior and worked with the shape of the house, keeping a slight Californian influence.

Exterior - Got rid of the arches, replaced windows with grids, added timbers across lintels, and painted to give a consistent color to the previously duotone body.

This home started with a generally good layout, so we made some strategic additions to clean up the architectural lines inside. We shuffled the location of the Laundry and Powder Bath to better allocate square footage for how the family will use the space. The Kitchen got a complete overhaul, the Family Room fireplace finally has intention, and the trim throughout the home was updated and simplified.

On the exterior, we’ve cleaned up the detailing for a more classic style. We embraced the existing stucco and removed the arched openings. Key areas will get more trim, optimizing the “bang for the buck” where it really makes a difference. Replacement windows gave the exterior a major facelift. When in doubt, pick a window with a grid of some sort.

Construction is underway, and I can't wait to share the final result! Photos will be coming soon, but here’s a few iPhone shots in the mean time.
